The Uniform Conditions for the Hotel and Catering Industry

Remain calm in the event of a fire, activate the nearest fire alarm, and report this immediately to the reception.
Upon hearing the fire alarm, leave the building immediately and follow the green emergency exit signs to the assembly point.
Never use the elevators in case of fire.
For the safety of all our guests, there is camera surveillance at various locations throughout the hotel. In the event of emergencies or incidents, recordings may be shared with the authorities for support.
You may park free of charge on our private property. Parking is at your own risk; however, camera surveillance is in place for security.
Emergency exits may not be used as regular entrances or exits; they may only be used in emergency situations.

BELONGINGS

Van der Valk Hotel Volendam is not responsible or liable for loss or theft of your belongings.
It is forbidden to remove hotel property. In case of theft, the costs will be charged to you.
In the event of intentional damage, repair or replacement costs may be charged.

The main booker must be at least 18 years old and able to provide valid identification at check-in. Minors may only stay under the supervision of an adult.
It is forbidden to reserve or rent a room without being present yourself, or to stay with more guests than permitted.
We respect your privacy; however, in case of violation of the house rules, we reserve the right to enter your room.
Check-out is possible until 11:00 a.m. For late check-out, the following surcharges apply: €50 until 2:00 p.m. and €125 until 6:00 p.m.

The use, trade, or possession of drugs or nitrous oxide (laughing gas) is prohibited. Violations may result in a fine or involvement of the police and judicial authorities.
In cases of excessive alcohol consumption, we reserve the right to take measures, including denying access.
Alcohol consumption under the age of 18 is strictly prohibited. We may request identification up to the age of 25.
It is prohibited to receive guests in the room for paid sexual activities or to create sexual visual material. Detection or suspicion will lead to immediate eviction and a report to the authorities.
Causing disturbance in or around the hotel is prohibited, for example through loud music, noise, or disruptive behavior. Violations may result in denial of access to the hotel.
It is forbidden to light candles or incense in the rooms. The use of confetti or similar materials is also not allowed. In case of violation, additional cleaning costs will be charged.
Smoking in the rooms is prohibited (including e-cigarettes). Smoking is only permitted on the balcony or outdoor terrace. In case of violation, cleaning and fire brigade costs of at least €300 will be charged.

Pets are not allowed in the hotel. They are, however, very welcome on our terraces.
It is not permitted to take photos or videos of staff members without their consent.
In the event of violation of the house rules, we may be forced to take measures such as terminating the reservation without refund or involving the police.
The management of Van der Valk Hotel Volendam makes decisions in all cases not covered by these regulations.
We kindly ask you to respect the house rules. In this way, we hope you and other hotel guests can enjoy a carefree stay, and we create the safest possible working environment for our staff.
